The President of OSF College of Health Science is accountable for the execution of the strategic direction and oversight of the operations of the OSF College of Health Sciences, subject to the control of the College Board and will have general supervision, direction, and control of the business and affairs of the Corporation. This position provides leadership interface with the academic affiliates and effectively establishes and navigates the partnerships to optimize the interprofessional education commitment of OSF HealthCare. These programs include the undergraduate and graduate nursing educational programs. This position is responsible to align strategies for interprofessional education working with College Provosts and collaboratively with the Chief Nurse Executive and other nursing and medical leaders. The President is responsible for ensuring proper administrative oversight of all regulatory, compliance and accreditation activities associated with the OSF College of Health Sciences nursing and health education programs. The president is responsible for directing and supervising the activities and performance of College Provosts and subordinate executives of the corporation in accordance with the approved management structure. The President is responsible and accountable for enabling the sustaining and maintaining of a vibrant Catholic identity, aligned and associated with the mission of Catholic higher education as understood by the Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis. This Catholic identity is expressed throughout each facet of the College of Health Sciences and is informed by key ecclesial source texts of the Catholic Church.
Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate required to have a doctoral degree in education or nursing preferably holding an appropriate advanced nursing practice board certification.
A minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressive administrative leadership experience in graduate nursing education within a large academic health organization or a multi-site system required.
Candidate must have a strong working knowledge of the Higher Learning Commission, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, and American Association of Colleges of Nursing Nurse Residency, Accreditation Requirements and demonstrated understanding of Medicare Reimbursement requirements.
Knowledge of corporate Compliance, CQI, and Research activities.
Demonstrated ability to lead as a visionary executive, including excellent communication, collaboration and consensus building abilities to bring together diverse groups of constituents.
Successful experience in developing and executing strategies necessary for the overall image and success of the college.
