Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Our Risk Management professionals work directly with Consumer Banking, Business Banking, Auto/Student Loan, Card and Commerce Services, Chase Wealth Management and Mortgage Banking to minimize, monitor and control the probability of risk events and mitigate the impact of risk events that do occur.

JPMorgan Chase & Co's Firm-wide Risk Management function operates independently of marketing and product groups, but simultaneously maintains active communication with the businesses they support. The Chief Risk Officer of the firm reports directly to the CEO and is accountable to the Board of Directors, primarily through the Risk Policy Committee.
About CCB Risk Management:
Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others.
Card Risk Management:
As part of the collections and recovery team, the Vice President, Card Risk Management position is responsible for the day to day and strategic risk management across our consumer and small business credit card businesses. This role requires strong thought leadership, collaboration, conceptual skills, and attention to detail in order to adapt to changes in the credit cycle. The responsibilities include management over collections treatment strategies, developing business recommendations with a return on investment approach, creation and delivery of executive level communications, creating a strong controls environment, and partnering with Operations & IT to execute strategies.
Key Responsibilities: - Responsible for recognizing opportunities and enhancements to existing strategies to improve overall financial performance, customer experience, and execution quality
- Forecast impacts of strategy and portfolio changes while leading business partners through adjustments
- Analyze segment performance for targeted treatments based on test/control design in addition to valuation both in loss and expense benefit or impact
- Create thoughtful analytics to address business issues and be able to independently generate forward-looking solutions
- Partner with technical groups to develop requirements for changes to rules engines and automated strategies
- Work with Operations partners and leaders to ensure any new developments will be deliverable and executable in an Operations environment
Develop and maintain comprehensive controls to ensure processes are executing as designed
Audit accounts in their respective function to ensure all strategies and processes are functioning as designed and perform root cause analysis on trends against these strategies and/or processes. Where issues arise, must be able to recommend and implement appropriate resolutions
- Bachelor's Degree (MS or MBA preferred) with preferred concentrations in Math, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or similar quantitative disciplines
- 5 years analytical experience; credit card or prior financial services experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present findings to Senior Management
- Experience partnering across different functions
- High degree of creativity and possess disciplined analytic and strong problem solving skills
- Flexible and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced changing environment
- 3+ years of experience with statistical software such as SQL, SAS and/or Knowledge Seeker
