The Vice President, Veterans Affairs is responsible for management, oversight, and business development for our work with the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The Vice President will manage multiple programs, ensuring Ad Hoc's delivery teams are meeting our customer's needs by designing, building, and operating superlative government digital services, that our teams are running efficiently, and that our programs maximize value for both the client and the company. The Vice President will also research and understand the key business objectives, challenges, and goals for VA. The Vice President will develop deep relationships in working with our customers, and will reach out to leaders in the agency to introduce them to Ad Hoc's capabilities. The Vice President will also develop deep working relationships with other vendor partners that work with VA. The Vice President will identify new opportunities at the agency that fit Ad Hoc's core capabilities, and will lead efforts internally to pursue and capture those opportunities.
Requirements The Vice President, Veterans Affairs should have a deep understanding of the Department of Veterans Affairs, and experience in the following:
- Background in technology project and program management
- Managing multiple programs that deliver digital services to government agencies
- Managing a multi-million dollar P&L for multiple programs with multiple subcontractors
- Experience with the Veterans Administration and knowledge and understanding of their key business objectives, challenges, and goals
- Experience with business development and capture in the federal market
- Experience with federal contracting and contract management
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
The Vice President, Veterans Affairs position is in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and requires regular time on-site with our delivery teams and customers at VA offices in Washington, DC.
