We are looking for a Vice President of Advancement to manage and execute all philanthropic programs, communications and marketing efforts. The position is responsible for developing and executing 1) a comprehensive fund development strategy to sustain and grow revenues from all constituents including individuals, corporations and foundations and 2) the organization's strategic communications plan to generate increased awareness of and investment in The Family Partnership's mission.
This position reports to the CEO and is part of the Executive Team. In addition, the Vice President serves as the lead staff member to the advancement related committees of the organization's Board of Directors, encouraging board involvement in advancement initiatives as appropriate. The position also supervises the Advancement staff.

Key Responsibilities Include: - Advance the mission, vision, and short and long-term goals of The Family Partnership in concert with the CEO and executive leadership colleagues.
- Serve as an exemplary advocate for The Family Partnership in the community, with local leaders, religious organizations, business and corporate partnerships, and other leaders, and build relationships that closely link the community with the organization.
- Develop and execute annual and multi-year fundraising plans and campaigns to meet the organization's evolving need for public and private support.
- Serve as the organization's primary steward of philanthropic relationships; actively manage and cultivate a portfolio of current and prospective major donors.
- Develop and implement an integrated, organization-wide strategic communications plan to broaden awareness of the nonprofit sector and strengthen The Family Partnership's brand identity across key stakeholder audiences.
- Create a brand/marketing/public relations strategy that will allow the organization's executive and board leadership to cultivate and enhance meaningful relationships with targeted, high-level external audiences, including the media, public officials and key influencers
Requirements Position Requirements: - Master's Degree in a relevant field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience, ten years of work experience in non-profit fund development and supervisory work experience. Experience with capital and/or major gift campaigns, experience with Raisers' Edge and ability to generate and analyze data for evaluation and planning and experience utilizing social media as a tool for fundraising.
- Ability to develop close relationships with significant community philanthropists.
- Knowledge of financial, budgetary and reporting procedures for non-profits.
- Ability to identify long-term and short-term challenges/opportunities for growth and to develop appropriate goals and action plans, ability to travel within the Twin Cities area for relevant meetings
- Ability to maintain a network of contacts and seek out potential funding sources and willingness to pursue continuing education in fund development.
