Title Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis
Job Description The Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will serve as a key member of the corporate financial leadership team and serve as a key financial interface among finance and accounting, project control/business management and the executive management team. The VP will be responsible for business planning, the budgeting and forecasting processes and project control for SRI. This person is a strategic leader who will interact directly with the executive management team as well as members of multiple groups to develop effective financial processes, systems and recommendations that support the company's financial strategy.
Primary Job Responsibilities include:
Budgeting and Forecasting - Lead and manage the financial planning and analysis organization and partner with the executive management team to provide value-added insight into the business. Lead and oversee the annual financial plan including the process and supporting systems. Lead the preparation and review of financial budgets and rolling quarterly forecasts. Responsible for indirect rate management, cost accounting standards (CAS) financial compliance, preparation of Incurred Cost Submissions and DCAA audit support.
Financial Reporting - Manage the financial reporting and analysis functions, providing effective reporting and strategic analysis of SRI's consolidated operating and financial performance to executive management and other corporate leaders.
Financial Review Process - Lead the financial business reviews, defining the agenda and providing the necessary reporting, analysis and recommendations of key business issues.
Project Control - Partners with the research divisions to manage the project control processes, policies and systems including project budgeting, monitoring, reporting and control.
Continuous Process Improvement - Oversee financial process improvement initiatives, implementing industry best practices, developing metrics for measuring effectiveness and efficiency while meeting the business needs. Complete other related projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications --Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, economics or related field and 10 years of management experience in the accounting and finance functions of a high performing, government contractor with revenues in the $500M range or greater. MBA and/or CPA is strongly preferred.
--U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance required.
--Experience with federal contracting and CAS as well as an excellent working knowledge of FAR, CAS and GAAP is required. Experience with commercial and international contracting is also required. Experience with R&D projects is strongly preferred.
--Proficient knowledge of Deltek or similar job cost accounting system as well as best financial practices in a project environment.
--Must have the ability to hire and retain strong teams and have experience in delegating, training and empowering staff.
--Must have demonstrated experience transitioning an organization from past practices and old systems to current best practice solutions and systems.
--The successful candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with leadership and staff across all functional areas of the business.
--The successful candidate will also be a skilled communicator who can creatively synthesize volumes of data into key trends, observations, and actions either written or orally.
--Experience working with an executive management team and Board of Directors providing analysis, guidance and recommendations as required.
--Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate and influence at a senior management level.
--Must thrive in a rapid-paced and dynamic business environment with a willingness to travel as necessary.
