Job Summary Broadridge is growing. We are seeking a Vice President, Product Development (Reference Data Solutions) to join our team in our 1 Park Ave, NYC office. In this role, you will strengthen its position in the marketplace by becoming the market leader in providing financial institutions with the pre-eminent reference data technology and managed services solutions in the industry. Our Reference Data suite of products provides banks, brokerages, asset managers and hedge fund administrators with best of breed data acquisition, data cleansing and reporting tools as well as a complete outsourced managed service capability. We offer integrated front, middle, and back-office platforms as well as managed services to capital market participants including, banks, broker-dealers, payment companies, insurance companies, hedge funds, asset managers, fund administrators, and prime brokers.
We are looking for an individual who can serve as the subject matter expert with deep industry knowledge of the securities Reference Data marketplace. In this position, you will entail full product ownership, roadmap and solutions sales responsibilities. You will Act as the reference data SME resource within Broadridge and assist Sales by making prospect and industry contacts, helping with developing pipeline opportunities, attending industry events and closing sales. Responsibilities: - You will develop and define product strategy in consultation with business leads to ensure adherence with business goals and objectives
- You'll act in a Pre-Sales capacity where required by participating in sales meetings and developing proposal pricing for opportunities as needed
- In consultation with the relevant product managers, you will define feature and functional improvements as needed
- You will assist in the development of the product pricing guidelines based on known and quantifiable costs, target margin and the competitive environment
Specific Duties:
- Develop and maintain the creation of a 2 year rolling business plan for the Broadridge reference data solutions product
- You will manage reference data product manager(s) (Security Master, Price Master, Data Quality Master and Exception Management) as direct reports
- Work with product managers in the definition of new features and product direction
- You will work with senior management and other required Broadridge staff to coordinate product demonstrations and sales meetings
- You'll work with the senior management team to provide updates on our strategy and discuss/plan investments required into the product to achieve agreed goals
- You will liaise with larger Broadridge Product and Solution Sales organization to assist with education, training and implementation of the Sales Strategy
- You will participate and drive sales meetings and opportunities where required
- You will understand and ensure transparency of competitive landscape for similarly positioned products
Qualifications: - 8-10 years Financial Market experience with a regulatory and compliance reporting (University degree required)
- Extensive financial services compliance and regulatory reporting experience with Broker Dealers, Banks, Asset Managers and/or Hedge Fund Administrators
- Strong business strategy, product, pricing and planning skills
- Extensive experience with reference data vendor landscape
- Knowledge of virtually all asset classes in global markets with particular emphasis on OTC Derivatives
- Deep understanding of the regulatory landscape and how different financial institutions manage their reference data needs
- Ability to manage and motivate assigned staff and virtual teams in a matrix organization to achieve the strategic goals
- Ability to initiate, maintain and develop relationships
- A self-starter with excellent presentation and communication skills
- Capable of working in a dynamic, high pressure environment
