Vice President and Director (VP/Dir) for Enterprise Information Systems is responsible for the Directorate new business and overall management/oversight of the current contracts which focus primarily on providing information technology solutions to various Departments and Agencies across the Federal Market. This is an executive position within the Company. The VP/Dir is responsible for organizing the Directorate, capturing and reporting status at the organizational level, leading and mentoring the team, cultivating leaders across the organization, ensuring programs are staffed and personnel are trained in accordance with AMERICAN SYSTEMS requirements and representing the company to clients and external organizations. The position requires an experienced business leader who has a proven track record of successfully running a business, with a detailed understanding of business finance, business development and business leadership. The successful candidate will be able to strategically plan for business growth, take advantages of opportunities as they arise, and mentor the organization into a successful, expanding Directorate within a challenging government market. The position is currently located in AMERICAN SYSTEMS' Chantilly, Virginia office. The primary position responsibilities are to: Lead a multi-million dollar Directorate business. Develop and execute a strategy to expand our existing business bas; Develop and execute a strategy to enter new markets; be responsible for revenue, gross booking and business unit contributions for subordinate Profit and Loss centers.

Job Requirements - Ability to plan strategically, identify and mitigate risks to the success of the business unit and mentor junior leaders across the organization.
- Must be able to work independently to chart a path for the organization that is consistent with the strategic direction of the Professional and Custom Services Business Unit.
- Ability to translate the Professional and Custom Services Business Unit Vision and Strategy into a working plan for the organization; communicate this plan to the team and guide its execution.
- Ability to identify and cultivate opportunities, develop a team that can win and effectively execute those opportunities and the ability to work effectively with the AMERICAN SYSTEMS leadership team.
- Must be able to build advantageous business partnerships across industry that provide the company with opportunities, reduce risks to our existing contracts and supports our strategic direction.

This requires providing direction and vision, establishing and maintaining an effective organizational structure, building and maintaining relationships, communicating effectively with the team and adjusting the structure as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- Excellent client management and business development skills.
- Ability to write effectively and the ability to accurately communicate to senior clients, corporate leaders, partners and the AMERICAN SYSTEMS team.
- Bachelors degree with 10 years of applicable experience.
- PMP Certification
- Proven ability to lead a profit and loss center and excellent understanding of financial and accounting practices.
- Excellent communication skills; A proven ability to work effectively with clients and senior leaders; Proven leaderships skills that facilitate building teams and working through adverse situations; Proven ability to establish and execute a strategic business plan; Collecting and reporting metrics across the organization in accordance with AMERICAN SYSTEMS standards; Monitoring performance of all contract vehicles; Supervision of staff and monitoring compliance with all AMERICAN SYSTEMS policies, including time charging and ethics Thought leadership for the organization and direct support to the Professional Services business objectives.
- Ability to access, interpret, and apply government and industry standards, law, and corporate policy and procedures to the management and execution of programs.
- Solid understanding of how to work collaboratively across Professional Services and AMERICAN SYSTEMS.
- Experience effectively crafting proposals and win new work.
