As a Vice President - Big Data Batch Leader, you will lead a team of 10+ Atlanta developers and remote Equifax teams (Dublin/Chile) working with Architecture and product teams to deliver the project end to end. The Vice President - Big Data Batch Leader is essential to assuring our team is following and refining an agile process to ensure that both short term and long-term deliverables are met. The leader is responsible for building next version of Core Exchange Platform using open standard big data technologies and state of the art offline services.

The Vice President - Big Data Batch Leader is part Data Exchange Services team and rolls up under Core Software Engineering (CSE) group, whose vision is to build software platforms once and deploy across various geography or business units to reduce costs and time to market. Data Exchanges group vision is to build the next generation Factory, Online and Offline exchanges and Insights using Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, NoSQL and home grown) to solve business problems on a common architecture. The various technologies such as Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra, Couchbase, Elastic Search and others are being evaluated to solve the above domains by building common patterns and by migrating components from current architecture. The new architecture will expose API, Plugins with Restful services and DSL for customers to add and access services while maintaining compliance and other security standards such as PCI.

Primary Responsibilities of the Vice President - Big Data Batch Leader include:

• Lead the Core Exchange Batch Teams (Atlanta, Dublin and Chile) to deliver Batch capabilities for Global and USIS business units
• Lead the Sumerian Core Team and complete the consolidation of CEP Batch as One Batch team starting from Q2 2018
• Lead migration planning for moving customers from CEP 1.0 to 2.0 and ensure the platforms are deployed end to end.
• Work with Business Units Implementation and Core Integration Services (professional services) to ensure that platform meets their requirements and vice versa
• Manage multiple parallel global implementations.
• Work in a highly matrix organization effectively to deliver key platform and implementation objectives

Required Skills of the Vice President - Big Data Batch Leader:

• 10+ Years of strong software development experience in progressive roles from Developer, Tech Lead and Application development manager.
• Leadership experience in multi-tier architecture, large scale transactional or batch systems, leading teams and on time delivery
• Ability to work with peers and architects to extract common interface requirements, breaking them into manageable pieces and deliver
• Experience leading complex projects from architecture and design to development and delivery, while building relationship across various organization and business leaders.
• Experience in component, interface and object-oriented design principles to build a platform as a service. Ability to Design and Develop software that can scale for large volume batch and online systems
• Experience working on applications using Java and Big Data technologies (Hadoop).
• Ability to operate in a product centric organization with an implementation focus during migrations
• Expertise in Test driven development, Continuous Integration and Release Management
• Prior experience in working with platforms utilizing big data technologies such as Hadoop, Map Reduce, Spark, Hive, Cassandra, Couchbase, and Others is a plus

Preferred Skills of the Vice President - Big Data Batch Leader:

• Profiency in Agile Development Methodology is a plus
