Description: Americas Finance & Business Management is seeking a Vice President level Business Manager based in New York supporting Investor Services (IS) Sales.
Investor Services is providing solutions and helping institutional investors and broker-dealers optimize efficiency, mitigate risk and enhance revenue through custody and asset servicing, securities and derivatives clearance, and collateral management offerings. Capabilities housed within Americas Investor Services include: prime brokerage, clearing for futures and options, OTC derivatives, securities and U.S. treasuries; collateral management on both the buy- and sell-side; financing and securities lending; global custody and direct custody; fund services.
The Business Manager (BM), as part of the Americas CIB Markets Sales Finance & Business Management organization, provides support to the business, and is critical for driving analysis, process improvement, financial analysis and controls, strategic initiatives.
Core Responsibilities: Drive Growth and Strategy
- Work effectively across the CIB Investor Services organization
- Provide analytics for business decisions
- Organize and participate in business reviews
- Track progress to ensure delivery
- Ensure implementation of business strategies and help drive change
- Escalate issues and roadblocks
- Drive competitive benchmarking & market analysis
- Prepare and communicate business strategy, performance and priorities
Optimize Business Performance
- Manage strategic sales projects & drive accountability on key deliverables from partners
- Develop requirements for monthly reporting packages that can be transitioned to the P&A team for periodic outputs
- Drive usage of sales tools to ensure increased adoption, data accuracy, and strategic roadmap
- Coordinate governance of processes and presentation inputs from sales and product partners
- Manage & understand deal pipeline ensuring accurate data quality and sales coverage
- Build & support revenue transparency for sales teams and identify drivers of monthly volatility
- Produce high quality output that will provide transparency and drive decision making
Qualifications: - 5-8 years of banking industry experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Business Management / Finance / COO experience
- Thoughtful analytical skills; able to develop, clearly present and draw conclusions
- Energetic, self motivated and effective under pressure - must enjoy the challenge of working within a fast-paced and demanding working environment
- Self starter able to prioritize key tasks effectively
- Outstanding organization skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
- Good judgment, maturity and poise to enable interaction/influencing of senior management
- Disciplined approach to managing processes and controls
- Strong Excel - Pivot tables, application of financial formulas, macros
- Strong PowerPoint - Pitchpro experience preferred
- Investor Services product background and knowledge preferred
