Position Overview Based at our national Headquarters in Pennsauken, in order to further strengthen our national Management team we are currently seeking an:
Vice President, Channel - Artisans & Distributors USA
(Pennsauken, NJ)
Reporting directly to the Markets Director of America, the mission of this role includes:
Responsibility for Full P&L of Artisan & Distributors Channel - sales of approximately $75 Million
Translating and implementing the global Artisan Channel Strategy in the USA
Developing a long-term vision and strategy for the US towards distribution and route-to-market taking into account a fast changing environment (e.g. Amazon and other marketplaces, Uber, Costco professional, etc.)
Developing the Artisan & Distributor business in the US within the matrix structure, i.e., together with the regional General Managers/VP's, and achieving the long-term goals
In close collaboration with the Regional General Managers, driving Sales and creating strong sales teams for the A&D channel covering all major urban areas in the 6 US regions - with any eye to improving productivity and efficiency
Creating a unique customer experience concept towards Artisans
Finalizing and implementing a strategy for the Service product category in order to grow the margins generated.
Key Accountabilities Accelerate sales with Artisans
Implement and fine-tune the preferred distributor approach and coordinate the account management of the national distributors: Sysco, US Foods, class="new_p"> Develop the Sales and Marketing tools and processes that allow the regional Sales teams to expand their Artisan and Distributor coverage and achieve business goals.
Fine-tune and manage the channel dashboard with KDI's. Propose corrective actions where necessary.
In alignment and collaboration with the VP Marketing and the Technical Advisor(s) responsible, develop and implement standardized and differentiating services for Artisans and Distributors, e.g, Innovation Centers, Demonstrators, and Taste Tomorrow.
In collaboration with the regional General Managers and the VP Marketing, support the development and implementation of the right digital communication and sales tools to manage our Artisan and Distributor network in order to reach the final Artisan customers (ordering platforms, E-commerce, CRM, SFA, etc.).
Train and develop the Regional sales teams
Share best practices from/with the US regions and other Puratos' countries
Responsible for performance of the service product category (2 people) including product management, pricing, etc.
Together with the respective Product Managers, define Puratos' product assortment towards the A&D channel (Puratos Essentials)
Analyze and follow-up on key competitors within the channel and develop short-term action plans when/where needed
Profile 10-15 years' experience in Sales and Marketing
Track record of being a strong, dynamic and flexible senior manager who has grown a business and developed strong teams.
Evidence of ved us gaining new business over time
Demonstrated ability to work independently; has a strong ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
Reputation and evidence of having strategic vision, of being innovative, creative, and of thinking -of-the-boxclass="new_p"> Able to create a strong external network that can be a source of new ideas to contribute to the success of the business
Demonstrated experience with successfully implementing strategy the field.class="new_p"> Past experience with and/or strong affinity for digitalization is a must; experience with distributors, e-commerce or new tes to marketstrong plus
Possesses strong interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills with evidence of how these have inspired sales teams and contributed to the impactful influence of senior management teams
Evidence of personal interest and commitment to establishing and maximizing positive working relationships with other departments
Detail-oriented with very strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent change management and time management skills
Proficient with: Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Outlook. Must have high skill level in Excel. Experience with SAP and CRM is a plus.
High Potential with Master degree or equivalent
