We are looking for a dynamic leader to lead our luxury sales and distribution teams. As the Vice President, Luxury Sales, and Distribution, you will lead and manage Hiltonlobal luxury sales team and drive Hiltonlobal luxury customer engagement through multiple distribution channels. This will include luxury group and transient sales, luxury consortia travel programs, luxury travel agencies, and luxury brand sales. You will also drive the Luxury Sales team to support the evolving global platform that empowers HWS to sell and articulate Luxury.
What will I be doing?
As the Vice President, Luxury Sales, and Distribution, you will be responsible for ensuring best practices in key areas of focus such as seller deployment strategy, customer engagement, account planning, performance management, coaching for success, overall sales engagement strategies, and capability development. In collaboration with other sales leaders, you will oversee the evaluation and development of core sales systems and processes.
As a Team Member in this role, you will be responsible for:
- Directing the oversight of HWS Luxury Sales and distribution teams to drive results through customized solutions and ensuring our teams are accessible, responsive, and consultative to all of our key stakeholders
- Nurturing a pervasive coaching culture with HWS Sales, Americas by leading by example and holding leaders accountable for active performance coaching of Team Members to drive performance and growth
- Facilitating communication with hotel and brand communities; identifying trends in the market place, assisting with conflict resolution, and supporting hotel and brand positioning
- Developing and implementing strategies, as well as the direction and sales vision, focused on strategic priorities and driving topline growth on behalf of all of key stakeholders; Customers, Hotels, Owners, Brands, Commercial Colleagues
- Maximizing revenues from Luxury consortia programs such as Amex Centurion, Amex FHR, Amex THC, Virtuoso, Altour, Frosch, Travel Leaders Select etc.
- Driving overall revenues from the three (3) Amex luxury programs, Centurion, FHR and THC: Optimize hotel engagement
- Leading the luxury agency engagement strategy with luxury consortia in EMEA and APAC
- Owning the global presence at travel trade events and tradeshows for Luxury brands
- Assuming a leadership role in adhering to and promoting Hilton best practices
- Evaluating and identifying business opportunities for luxury sales and direct accordingly
- Establishing the flow of authority and communication between position and levels within the organization
- Developing and overseeing the departmental budgets
Qualifications What are we looking for? To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
- BA/BS Bacheloregree
- A minimum of eight (8) years of experience developing and implementing strategic sales plans
- A minimum of eight (8) years of experience leading and coaching sales teams
- A minimum of eight (8) years of experience presenting sales plans, presentations, etc., to senior level executives and constituent groups
- A minimum of eight (8) years of experience working in a collaborative/matrixed environment
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience working within the luxury market
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience working with departmental financial data to make strategic/tactical decisions
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience evaluating and identifying business opportunities for hotels
- Experience with the management of an entire department (10+ people); experience building diverse, high performing teams
- Ability to travel up to 50%; will be in the Global Headquarters Office (McLean, VA), frequently
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive Sales experience at a multi-site, multi-branded, consumer-focused organization
- A minimum of ten (10) years of Hospitality experience or experience with Hilton
- Experience with sizeable revenue ($1B+), diverse customers, and dynamic channels throughout the U.S.
- Experience with active change management involving talent, process and systems changes
- Relevant Sales experience could be a combination of business-to-business, business-to-consumer, or business-to-business-to-consumer
- Exposure to franchisee businesses is a plus
