Providence is calling a Vice President of Development / Executive Director to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA

In this position you will:

Demonstrate Providence Health & Services core values of respect, justice, compassion, stewardship, and excellence to customers, employees, and visitors; and provides quality service in the performance of work assignments and duties. * Participate in the planning and implementation of an effective fund raising strategy that takes into account the unique mission of PH&S and the special needs of donors and potential donors.

• Carry a portfolio of approximately 100-125 major gift prospects/donors ($50,000 +).
• Supervise, train, and motivate assigned staff for major gifts and campaign development.
• Staff campaign committees as assigned.
• Monitor es Managementrtfolios of assigned staff to ensure effective productivity.
• Staff leadership of the Foundation Board of Governors.
• Manage the staff of the Los Angeles regional communications and marketing department.
• Staff committees as assigned.
• Maintain professional growth and development.
• Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, improving organization performance activities.

Qualifications

Required qualifications for this position include:

Bacheloregree.

Minimum of 10 years demonstrably successful direct major gift fund-raising experience.

Good organizational skills with facility for managing many projects simultaneously.

The ability to work independently within established guidelines and to meet frequent deadlines; proven track record in cultivating and soliciting qualified prospects, closing major gifts and stewarding major donors.

The ability to develop and master the relationships necessary to promote the trust and confidence of the organizationeadership, including prospects and donors; demonstrated success in campaign fund raising; knowledge of deferred/planned giving approaches and techniques; demonstrated experience working within time-intensive, results-oriented environment; and demonstrated leadership and motivational skills to develop staff and volunteers.

In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of fund raising practices and procedures.

Strong leadership, motivational, and communication skills with abilities to work with a broad spectrum of people, and to prioritize work so that close to 70% of time is spent in the field of fund raising.

Special skills and experience in personal major gift cultivation and solicitation ($100,000 and above).

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

Advanced Degree preferred.

Certified as a Fund Raising Executive (CFRE)
