VP DIVISION MERCHANDISING MANAGER (DMM)- GROCERY
The Vice President, DMM is responsible for all merchandising functions for assigned categories in order to attain sales and profit objectives. This position reports into a Senior Vice President, GMM and has Category Merchants, Associate Merchants and Merchant assistants reporting into him/her. This position will provide direction and leadership of the Grocery division with the overall objective of growing the business and meeting organizational goals.
- Manages responsibilities and merchants associated with merchandise strategy or plans for a specific division and/or region.
- Provide leadership, training and development to team of Merchants, Associates and Assistants.
- Oversees the analysis of sales and profit trends, the development of merchandising strategies, and new product introduction.
- Translates goals into business objectives to align with strategic priorities.
- Provide Long-range and short-range merchandise planning.
- Develop strong relationships with the supplier community.
- Excises exceptional negotiation and financial planning/forecasting skills.
- Supports the development and growth of the Own Brands portfolio.
- Work cross functionally to develop sales promotion and marketing plans.
- Understand competitive landscape In order to direct the purchase and pricing of merchandise.
- Coordinating distribution/stock allocation activities while determining mix of merchandise.
- Researching new growth opportunities by facilitating the category review process.
- Partner with clubs and logistics on allocating space to accommodate sales objectives
Requirements - Bacheloregree required
