Position Summary The Vice President - Communications, will serve as the Deputy to the Director of Global Communications. This seasoned professional will maintain and nurture relationships of trust and confidence with executive management, deal teams, portfolio companies and the media. This individual will develop and implement communication strategies across the firm and serve as the Company's spokesperson on investment and corporate issues.

Qualifications - 12+ years' experience in financial, agency, corporate and/or government communications
- Experienced media spokesperson
- Financial services experience strongly desired
- Public company experience a plus
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Able to juggle multiple tasks and serve multiple constituencies

Business Title Vice President - Communications for the Americas
Key Duties/ Responsibilities - Develop and implement communication strategies for funds, deals and key firm priorities
- Manage day-to-day media relations across the Americas
- Advise Director of Global Communications, Head of External Affairs and senior leadership
- Serve as a Carlyle spokesperson on investment and corporate issues
- Support portfolio companies' communications needs
- Establish and nurture relationships with key private equity and sector-specific media
- Write extensively: news releases, internal communications, message points, communications plans, social media, op-eds, etc.
- Produce content for Illuminate thought leadership program
- Support Carlyle internal communications
