Responsibilities The Position
The Vice President, Golf Sponsorships will sell strategic golf initiatives and event sponsorships by leveraging existing golf assets and businesses in order to generate recurring, predictable, sponsorship revenue. They will focus on securing sponsors for the non-traditional Golf Channel owned events listed below:
Golf Channel Owned Events:
- World Long Drive Tour
- East Lake Cup
- Golf Channel Amateur Tour
Digital & Social Extensions:
- Golfchannel.com and other affiliated websites, GolfNow, GolfAdvisor, and all Social Media channels
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop strategic goals, plans and tactics in order to generate sponsorship and event revenue for non-traditional televised golf content
- Consult with new and existing clients in order to develop new sponsorship platforms which drive incremental revenue
- Collaborate with other Golf Channel and NBC Sports departments, including digital, programming, production, marketing and sales to maximize opportunities
- Possess thorough understanding of internal golf businesses to leverage and include within sponsorship packages
Required Qualifications - 5 years prior experience in a senior-level management role in sports marketing, sponsorship and media sales-related business
- Existing relationships with corporate decision makers and their sports marketing agencies
