The Regional Vice President, Business Development is a key role within the G4S (USA) sales team. This leader's primary responsibility is to achieve new regional sales results, develop business development strategies and provide high level customer support. You will play a lead role in selecting, coaching and retaining top level Managers of Business Development for a prospective region(s).
To maintain our leadership and capture new growth opportunities in the USA, we are targeting today's hottest areas for growth including: chemical, commercial real estate, retail, industrial, health care, residential communities, financial institutions, transit systems, as well as local, state and national governments.
Role Responsibility: Specific Duties and Essential Functions
- Provide expertise and support for local Business Development and General Managers throughout Regions
- Negotiate contracts and communicate contract requirements to field offices personnel
- Provide sales direction, management, development and coaching to specific regions
- Strategize and coordinate Regional sales and prospecting
- Develop marketing materials and displays that appeal to a broad spectrum of potential clients along with preparing and/or assist in preparing proposals, quotes, pricing
- Partner with Regional leadership to develop vertical Managers of Business Development in select markets
The Ideal Candidate: Education, Licenses and Certifications Required
Type and Length of Specific Experience Required
- Must have 10 years of experience in sales or business development with a track record that demonstrates increasing responsibility and accomplishments
- Must possess 5 years of work experience in a supervisory/management business development role
- Work history must include demonstration of:
- Ability to model strong oral, written business communication skills
- Ability to navigate through complex negotiations at the executive level
- Ability to select, coach and retain a business development team
- Strong consultative, analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience in proposal development, presentations, sales or marketing
- Ability to partner with senior management to develop local sales strategies that will support the expansion of new client relationships and leverage existing relationships to build a sustained pipeline of opportunities to meet annual performance goals
Skills Required - Publishing and creative writing skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Active listening skills
- Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
- Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- Attention to detail

- Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
- Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
- Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
- Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
- Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military
Physical Requirements and Environment
Environment: Mostly indoor with minimal outdoor exposure to extreme cold/heat.
Major activity: Working on computer while sitting, standing, speaking, walking, listening
Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited to include some standing, bending, light lifting, and limited stretching and reaching.
