Digital Operational Risk, Wealth Management
The Digital Operational Risk unit is a first line of defense function responsible for overseeing the operational risk and controls of Wealth Managementigital business. This team partners with management across the Digital business to assess risks, implement control processes and procedures, manage audits and exams, oversee risk management of vendors, manage business continuity plans, and conduct the annual Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).
VP, Audits:
- Develop a working knowledge of all aspects of the Digital business and new
Digital initiatives, and become an effective risk partner for the business.
- Build trust and establish open lines of communication with Digital business
leaders and control partners (Legal, Compliance, Audit, and Risk etc.).
- Prepare for upcoming internal and external audits and exams (e.g., Internal
Audits, Compliance Assessments)
- Guide the business in identifying and self-disclosing risks and subsequent
action plans
- Coordinate document requests with business stakeholders
- Manage and coordinate audit planning and fieldwork testing
- Ensure open dialogue and understanding of preliminary findings/observations
- Coordinate feedback on draft reports and management action plans
- Draft measurable and achievable action plans to remediate risks identified
during business, Audit and Compliance reviews
In addition, the Vice President may assist and support in other team functions such as:
- Assist in the completion of the annual Risk and Control Self-Assessment
(RCSA)
- Facilitate control remediation projects
- Respond to and track operational risk incidents
- Manage the risk acceptance process
- Track and report on risk issues and action plans to ensure remediations are
completed by target dates
- Prepare monthly/quarterly metrics dashboards to inform senior management of
status on key operational risk metrics and incidents
- Prepare for and manage recurring Risk committee meetings
Qualifications - At least 8 years of experience in financial services Risk Management, Audit or
Compliance role with direct-to-consumer and wealth management experience
preferred - Knowledge of Digital Wealth Management business
- Demonstrate flexibility in a changing business environment and in dynamically
deploying skills as needed
- Comfort working with business, functional, and risk management stakeholders
- Experience dealing with regulators or auditors
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Team player with a track record of partnering with colleagues and mentoring
junior employees
- Self-starter with a can-do approach and delivery focused mind set
- Detail-oriented and accurate
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio,
Project)
- Bacheloregree; MBA, CFA, or ORM Certificate a plus
