Physical Requirements The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motion (such as typing); walking including pushing, pulling and/or lifting up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling and/or lifting objects up to 50lbs.

Job Summary This position will provide support to clinics during regular staff leaves, absences, and other vacancies of Patient Relations Assistant positions. The primary responsibilities of a Patient Relations Assistant include greeting patients, registering patients for their appointments, verifying insurance, cash handling, scheduling appointments, procuring new patient records, and ensuring patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. This position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, teamwork, and proficient communication skills.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will have extensive customer service experience and be able to communicate in a calm and helpful manner during stressful and/or crisis situations. Should have the ability to pay high attention to detail; work with a teamwork mindset; have data entry skills and respect for confidentiality; be able to prioritize tasks efficiently; and work in multiple systems simultaneously.

Preferred Education/Experience
Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and 3.5 years of experience in medical office work preferred. Prior patient registration and insurance verification experience highly preferred.
