About the Sr Director/VP, Project Management at ICON in our Medical Device & Diagnostic Research department:
Medical Device & Diagnostic Research (MDDR) is the operational delivery department under ICON's Commercialization & Outcomes business unit that was created when ICON acquired Aptiv Solutions in 2014. This group is focused on the unique requirements of the medical device and diagnostics industry. We have experienced tremendous growth in 2017 and this is an excellent opportunity to join as part of MDDR's leadership.
The MDDR group combines the medical and regulatory device and diagnostic expertise with ICON's global clinical development and commercialization's solutions. Device and diagnostic manufacturers benefit from a wide suite of services that support the full product lifecycle, including global clinical trial execution.
This position will provide leadership and assist the Vice President, Medical Device with effectively managing all activities to ensure project timeframes, budgets and targets are met and that departmental costs are kept under control. This role will serve as a senior level liaison with clients, as appropriate and represent Medical Device & Diagnostics in Business Development activities. It will also support the operational and developmental activities of the Department along with represent MDDR at industry conferences and events as a key speaker on relevant trends in the market.

To succeed you will need:
A total of at least 10 years of either regulatory or operational medical device (Spine, Orthopedic, Cardio) experience is required. A minimum of 6 years relevant Director-level (or equivalent) experience overseeing project teams conducting Medical Device and/or diagnostic research is required. Bachelors' Degree required; Master's degree or local equivalent is strongly preferred.
