We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Physician Assistant in our Electrophysiology Services unit. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Participate in all activities of the Device Clinics, including patient and family education about all implanted devices, maintaining the clinic databases, providing input on the clinic workflow, planning and implementing appropriate device surveillance based on individual patient requirements and recommended guidelines.
- Evaluate all remote transmissions meeting alert criteria on a daily basis and prepare a full report at the end of each cycle for each patient.
- Enter the final remote monitoring reports in the Hospital EMR.
Assist in maintaining records of all activities taking place in the Device Clinics.
Assist in gathering and analyzing data relative to Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement activities.
REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- New York State Physician Assistant License required
- Must have a certification with National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Previous experience in Electrophysiology (EP) preferred
