Purpose of Your Job Position
The primary purpose of your job position is to plan, organize, develop, coordinate, and direct specialty clinical programs for the facilities in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the Vice President of Senior Care Operations, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care and safety can be maintained at all times.
Delegation of Authority
As the Corporate Director of Clinical Programming, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.
Duties and Responsibilities Plan, organize, and direct various clinical programs for specialty areas.
Plan, develop, organize, implement, coordinate, and direct the implementation of program designed to enhance the quality of resident care, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern nursing care facilities.
Evaluate programs and effect changes as necessary to improve programs and assure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Communicate revised plans and changes to Corporate management team to maintain awareness.
Coordinate concurrent with marketing the review studies performed within the market area for potential growth areas for the facilities, prepare resulting reports as required.
Research, develop and implement specialty programs to help separate us from our competitors
Establish and maintain tracking systems for recommendations of focused areas for clinical program growth.
Review policies and procedures of each facility to assure quality services are provided to meet residentseds in nursing, nutrition, and rehabilitation
Assure that each facility maintains adequate quantities of qualified staff to deliver services twenty-four hours each day in each discipline as established by acuity based staffing, prospective payment system, effective recruitment and retention, initial orientation and ongoing in-service training
Assure that each facility maintains substantial compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations to assure licensure, Medicaid/Medicare certification and/or JCAHO or CARF accreditation as applicable to attain the highest external recognition for care and services rendered to the facility
Meet as needed with Director of Nursing staff to review operations, accomplishments, and objectives in nursing services.
Supervise the Corporate Director of Compliance and Corporate Director of Staff Development to ensure organization goals and objectives are met.
Education Must possess, as a minimum, four (4) years college in B.S. RN Degree.
Experience Previous experience in clinical health care including direct experience in quality assurance and or corporate supervision roles.
Specific Requirements Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action in a timely fashion.
Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
Must be knowledgeable of quality assessment and assurance procedures.
Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the quality assessment and assurance program.
Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents and staff.
Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
Must be able to relate information concerning a residentondition.
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
Must be willing to travel and do overnight stays as needed.
