Vice President - Central Region
**This position can be based out of any state in our Central Region that is located near a major airport. The states included in that region are South Dakota, Nebraska, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

Position Overview: The Vice President - Region has profit and loss (P&L) responsibility for a designated group of districts. This position provides district support in general management, business planning, sales and operations.
Primary Duties:
- Oversee the development and implementation of successful business plans that support corporate objectives and initiatives.
- Hold district managers accountable to goals and objectives as outlined in current business plan/budget.
- Train new district managers to fulfill requirements of position as outlined in their job description.
- Provide branch support and act as resource for utilizing tools and resources available through the Corporate Office.
- Represent the Corporate Office at appropriate meetings and events.
- Support the efforts of all departments within the Corporate Office and help to implement programs and objectives at the district level.
- Responsible for successful implementation of operating procedures and system conversion after the acquisition of a new branch location.
- Complete projects assigned by the President and COO.
- Participate in strategic direction of company as member of Executive Committee.
- Manage the performance of all direct reports. This includes setting goals and objectives, measuring and evaluating employee performance and communicating performance feedback on a formal and informal basis.
- Attend branch/company meetings and events as required. Overnight travel may be necessary.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraisingperformance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications: - Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Extensive experience in the electrical distribution and/or electrical products industry.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- The ability to establish relationships with employees, suppliers, and customers.
- Good listening skills, problem-solving skills, management skills, and the ability to gather and evaluate data.
- Previous sales and sales management experience.
- Basic computer skills are important (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail,etc).
