General Purpose: Seeking a full time Vice President/Associate as a team member to assist in the valuation of businesses, securities, and intangible assets. The Vice President/Associate will work on a variety of valuation assignments in numerous industries.
Major Duties and Responsibilities: Vice President/Associate responsibilities include the following:
Managing projects and supervising analysts and part-time interns
Performing corporate and asset valuations including analysis of discounted cash flows, capitalization of earnings, comparable companies, merger and acquisition transactions, purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment testing, and stock option analysis
Preparing written valuation reports for client presentation
Drafting fairness opinions
Developing client interaction and participating in due diligence meetings
Conducting company, industry, and economic research
Analyzing general economic conditions and industry specific conditions and trends
Participating in the hiring and training of analysts
Stoutervices are used for many purposes, including:
Financial, tax, and regulatory requirements
Purchase price allocation and goodwill impairment studies
Employee stock ownership plans
Mergers and acquisitions
Fairness and solvency opinions
Estate and gift taxation
Intellectual property disputes
Shareholder disputes
Property taxation
Feasibility studies
Financing purposes
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Intermediate/advanced understanding of economics, financial theory and/or principles of accounting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education and/or Training:
4-year degree necessary with an emphasis in finance or accounting
Minimum 4-6 years of experience in business valuation. Must have experience in purchase price allocations and other financial reporting related assignments as well as business valuation experience.
