Vice President
Edelman is seeking a dynamic leader to join our growing Employee Engagement offering. As part of our growing team, youplay a defining role in major pieces of business and work with some of the fieldighest-profile leaders, with a focus on helping clients evolve their employee experience during transformational change.
While you must have at least eight years of relevant experience in organizational communications, change management, employee engagement or internal communications, we care more about what youlearned and achieved during those years and how you can apply what you know to advance our clientssiness objectives, as well as our own. We are particularly interested in your experience with workforce engagement in large-scale change, including mergers, acquisitions and other moments of transformation.
Qualifications In addition to a demonstrable ability to act creatively and collaboratively, this position requires that you have:
- firsthand experience designing and implementing communications and engagement strategies in complex organizations and across diverse employee and leadership groups
- a track record of creating innovative and measurable solutions to business challenges
- experience working with and counseling senior management
- the ability to derive clarity out of ambiguous situations
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- strong business acumen and familiarity with transaction communications
- a solid knowledge of recent industry best and emerging practices
- experience or aptitude for methodology or service development
- the interest in and ability to manage a team of up to three people
- a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (an advanced degree in business, communications or marketing is a plus)
An entrepreneurial spirit, comfort forging internal alliances across practices and geographies, and talent for networking, mentoring and coaching round out the prerequisites for this position.
While one week will always be different than the next, any given day will include exposure to a variety of disciplines within the company and involvement in several large, integrated projects. You may support and partner with senior colleagues as they relate to client service, new business development, staffing/personnel issues, organizational development, staff training and development, and quality control; further establish and grow a center of excellence in partnership with the leadership of the practice; sustain key interfaces with clients and set the tone for staff in terms of client servicing expectations; provide leadership in the areas of total account management including day-to-day account activity; proactively deliver counsel to clients; appropriately staff business projects; develop and create strategic programming that incorporates the best practices; effectively execute results reporting; supervise writing and editing projects; negotiate contracts with clients; supervise all billing and invoicing; understand recent and projected financial performance; maintain appropriate productivity levels; review monthly invoices and measure results vs. forecasts; and manage RFPs, among other activities.
