We are seeking an experienced Executive Sales Leader who is looking to drive the effective use of technology for social benefit. Job Profile - The AVP - Higher Education (General Business) will be responsible for setting and executing Salesforce,org's General Business sales strategy for Higher Education. This executive will assume leadership of a growing sales organization of 20+, including first line managers, to help drive complex deal transactions
- Set and execute an aggressive customer acquisition and growth strategy to generate 30%+ annual growth in bookings and revenue
- Find, hire and develop industry-best sales talent to grow your team
- Drive and measure effective sales enablement programs
- Develop and maintain key customer and SI/ISV partner relationships
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting on a weekly, monthly and quarterly cadence
- Manage overall sales process, set appropriate metrics for sales funnel management
- Plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels
- Work cross-functionally with the Industry, Marketing, and Product teams to inform go-to-market planning and deliver transformative solutions for Higher Education institutions
Required Skills/Experience:
- 2nd or 3rd line leadership experience leading sales teams
- Strong track record of recruiting, developing and retaining a high performing sales organization
- Consistent over achievement of quota and revenue goals
- 10+ years in software and/or applications sales (ideally in a CRM, ERP and/or B2B SW company), selling primarily to the CxO level
- Proven track record of building satisfied, loyal and reference able customers
- Ability to work cross functionally with product and sales teams
- Ability to work in a complex, collaborative environment
- Initiative taking mindset
- Ability to work with C--suite level resources, aligned with regional executives, AEs, and internal leadership teams to present a single front internally and represent a single vision for our customers
- Proven success working within a highly matrixed organization and establishing strong relationships across all functions
- Strong operational and analytical abilities
- Strategic enterprise sales experience and revenue achievement selling multiple enterprise software offerings
- Experience selling cloud based enterprise applications is strongly preferred
- Industry experience selling into Higher Education a plus
- Bachelor degree strongly preferred
