Position Summary Hennessy Industries, a Fortive Operating Company, is seeking a VP Finance who will report to the Hennessy President and play a key leadership role within the Hennessy organization. This individual will have full responsibility for all finance and accounting functions within the Hennessy operating company and be the key focal point for Fortive corporate finance initiatives and reporting. The VP Finance will serve on the Hennessy leadership team and work closely with other functional leaders and the President to advance company strategy, utilize the Fortive Business System to drive improved performance, and maintain solid financial controls.
Key Responsibilities - Partner proactively with Hennessy functional leaders to develop company strategy and execute business plans
- Lead organizational reporting and analysis functions including: Annual budgeting, forecasting processes, corporate reporting, new product development analysis, and other ad hoc analysis projects
- Lead the Hennessy Finance and Accounting team including staff recruitment, training, development and performance management
- Oversee company compliance activities including financial policy development, Sarbanes Oxley control testing, internal and external audit processes, monthly close processes, tax reporting, and risk management
- Review & monitor internal controls and Grants of Authority; correct any deficiencies in process
- Leverage the Fortive Business System (FBS) toolkit to drive continuous improvement by instituting daily management, standard work, and problem-solving strategies
- Oversee working capital management process including accounts receivable, accounts payable and inventory accounting
- Ensure company payroll activities are completed on schedule
- Oversee manufacturing accounting processes including product costing and physical inventories
Relationships
This position reports to the Hennessy President. This individual will interface with all functional departments within Hennessy and Fortive corporate finance and accounting personnel. It is expected that there will be a high degree of team participation.

Qualifications Background and Skill
- Bachelor's degree required degree or CPA/CMA a plus. Must have a degree in finance or accounting in either undergrad or graduate work
- Proven advanced proficiency in accounting and finance demonstrated through education and 7 to 10 years minimum commensurate work experience
- Minimum 5 years supervisory experience
- Experience with operations accounting, such as manufacturing or service operations
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Must have high level of written and oral communication skills
- Excellent presentation preparation and delivery skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to hit key deadlines
- Proven problem solver
