Job Description The Work You'll Do
The VP, Controller is responsible for the company's global financial accounting practices and policies, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports. They will oversee the timely monthly close of the General Ledger, consolidation and reporting of financial results, coordination of audits, and the development of and compliance to internal controls. Additionally, this position includes responsibility for all daily activities for and development of a team of global employees.
More specifically, you will:
- Lead the Global Finance team.
- Maintain the company's overall system of accounts, books and records on all company transactions and assets.
- Responsible for establishing and ensuring compliance to internal controls.
- Manage and improve various reporting cycles.
- Full coordination of audit and the gathering of required audit information, preparation of financial statements and footnotes, and preparation of tax accounts.
- Manage companylobal tax and treasury operations.
- Provide input into the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
- Assist with formulating the financial objectives and policies of the company and then prepare reports that outline the company's progress towards those objectives and financial position in terms of bookings, revenue, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and future operations.
- Support M&A integration as required.
What We Need From You
- BA/BS degree in Accounting. CPA required.
- 10+ years of strong and broad experience in accounting and ability to apply GAAP knowledge to business scenarios.
- Global software company experience required.
- Leadership experience required.
- Communication skills for credibility at all levels of the organization.
- Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with evolving software revenue recognition rules.
