Digital Operational Risk, Wealth Management
The Digital Operational Risk unit is a first line of defense function responsible for overseeing the operational risk and controls of Wealth Managementigital business. The team partners with management across the Digital business to assess risks and implement controls, manage audits and exams, oversee risk management of third party vendors, manage information security risks, manage business continuity planning and conduct the annual Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA). The Vice President position reports to the Senior Risk Officer/ Business Unit Information Security Officer (BUISO) for the Digital business. The VP is responsible for helping to drive the Policies and Procedures initiative for the Digital business, and manage and execute controls and processes that promote a strong control environment. The VP will also take a supporting role in the risk management of vendors and management of business continuity plans.
The Vice President, Policies and Procedures role in the Digital Operational Risk unit will have the following responsibilities:
- Learn key aspects of the Digital business and new Digital initiatives in order to
partner with the businesseaders toward drafting appropriate policies and
procedures and executing controls for which the business is responsible
- Understand, track, and periodically review the suite of policies and procedures
across the Digital business in order to identify gaps and areas for
improvement.
- Ensure that policies and procedures have been written in accordance with the
Wealth Management businesstandards and are readily accessible in firm-
wide systems.
- Partner with functional support areas to attain best-practices in policies and
procedures and consistency with existing functional processes.
- Help monitor the businessdherence to policies and procedures.
- Partner with functional support areas to clarify responsibilities for execution of
controls.
- Review related controls and associated documentation and help execute
controls for which the business is responsible.
In addition, the Vice President may assist and support in other team functions such as:
- Building and maintaining business continuity plans for the Digital business
- Vendor management of the Digital businesses third party suppliers
- Information Security risk incidents and resolution
- Metrics and Reporting
Qualifications Qualifications - At least 8 years of experience in financial services with direct-to-consumer or wealth management experience preferred
- Experience in project/program management, risk management or Compliance
- Demonstrated flexibility in a changing business environment and in dynamically deploying skills
- Comfort working with business, functional, and risk management stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Self-starter with a can-do approach and delivery focused mind set
- Methodical, detail-oriented, and accurate
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
- Bacheloregree; MBA, CFA or ORM Certificate a plus
- Series 7 and 24 a plus
