About Us: We are a privately-owned manufacturer and supplier of automotive aftermarket products with strong annual sales growth. We are growing and seeking Marketing & Sales executives with relatable industry knowledge to join our team in an Executive Leadership Role.
Summary: The Vice President of Sales is primarily responsible to provide strategic leadership for the National Sales Manager, Regional Sales Managers and Territory Managers to facilitate robust and consistent sales growth and expand the refinish business in a profitable manner.
Responsibilities: - Analyze market opportunities, develop a strategy to add value for customers.
- Expand distribution and sales via 2-Step Chains.
- Fully accountable for sales, sales strategy including deployment of human resources, expense management, and profitability of the entire sales channel.
- Effectively communicates the long-term story and drive accountability.
- Builds expectations and engagements.
- Develop, administer and measure company sales programs.
- Ensure the sales team operates within all company policies.
- Effectively manage strategic customer relationships to drive accelerated growth and expand market share.
- Work collaboratively to drive new product development and support new product sales.
- Maintain a professional sales culture within the sales organization embracing communication, integrity, teamwork and sales growth.
- Work to develop and ongoing sales training curriculum.
- Planning and coordination of sales meetings.
- Hiring, training, supervision of sales management.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Regional Managers and Territory Managers in the field and in formal training situations, provide overall direction, coordination and evaluation of sales personnel.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B. A.) from four-year College or university, MS or MBA preferred
- 5-10+ years of OEM industries, automotive aftermarket or similar sales experience.
- 5+ years of strategic management experience.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of metric driven sales forecasting, analysis, planning and implementation
- Familiar with and ability to analyze business periodicals, journals, technical data, government regulations
- Strong presentation and demonstrable experience to lead presentations with customers, corporate, and trade shows; able to present information and communicate intended messages with customers, colleagues and the general public
- Strong math skills, ability to work with concepts such as probability, statistical inference and apply such concepts such as profitability, margins, markups, gross profit, return on investment, P&Ls etci>
- Must be willing to travel consistently in support of sales, trade shows, regional and divisional sales including the occasional retreats and company sponsored rallies up to 60%
