Job Summary In the newly created position of Vice President of Payer Relations you will be responsible for the strategic development and oversight of payer relationships across Center for Diagnostic Imaging's affiliated organizations. You will collaborate with Executive and Market leaders to develop and implement payer strategies and activities to increase revenue and improve the patient experience. You will also be responsible for the management and leadership of the payer relations team (2 direct reports).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Creates a positive experience for every customer, every day by believing in and practicing
(75%) Payer Strategy Development and Oversight
- Oversees the development, negotiation, implementation, monitoring and management of a comprehensive, market based national payer strategy
- Ensures alignment of payer programs with the company's strategic business initiatives
- Partners with senior leadership to evaluate and recommend strategic parameters and reimbursement methodologies relevant to our service lines to improve revenue and market position
- Facilitates the development and promotion of the Company's value proposition to payers
- Develops KPI's to influence decision making ability
- Directs and oversees review and analysis of contract proposals and renewals, key operating terms, contracting alternatives, reimbursement trends, and other payer related activities
- Establishes and monitors national and market-specific payer metrics
(20%) Staff Management
- Defines job and strategic priorities of associates who report directly to the position.
- Manages the hiring and training of new associates
- Initiates and participates in staff performance evaluations, compensation and development of associates including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and/or termination of associates
- Leads regular staff meetings and employee one-on-ones
- Ensures the staff function as a team
- Ensures compliance with all HIPAA Guidelines, and RCM policies and procedure
(5%) Completes other tasks and projects as assigned

Requirements Required: - Bachelor's degree in healthcare, management or finance or a related field
- 10+ years of demonstrated success in management in healthcare or managed care industry.
- Knowledge of contractual, administrative, health insurance and operational issues related to payers, managed care organizations, physician groups, hospitals and health insurance benefit plan designs
- Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance
