Position Title: VP, Brand Marketing
The Vice President of Brand Marketing - Digital, Content and Communications will develop and evangelize the Lionbridge story and brand by creating compelling content and exceptional digital experiences that attract and engage. This position is responsible for brand strategy & positioning, content strategy & activation, digital marketing and Lionbridge's digital/social properties including lionbridge.com. This position oversees key brand marketing initiatives including partnership marketing, public relations, consumer events, influencer programs and brand marketing materials.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this is a strategic function that is expected to make an immediate and large impact within the growing global company. It requires a passion for storytelling, a gift for translating tech and marketing jargon into plain English and interactive works of art, as well as a facility for data.
Responsibilities: - Set the vision, build and execute on the brand strategy through compelling and persuasive messaging, content, and digital experiences
- Develop and execute on a content marketing strategy, creating helpful and interesting content that attracts buyers and fuels demand generation
- Own and optimize the Lionbridge site and social media presence increasing site engagement, conversion and inbound traffic
- Establish a distinctive editorial point of view, voice and visual identity that breaks through the clutter and marketing speak
- Provide creative direction and editorial oversight for all marketing communications and assets, ensuring that they meet our brand standards and business goals
- Support & collaborate with sales leadership to execute on sales/company revenue goals
- Collaborate with demand generation to drive inbound leads creating a variety of content rich offers and lead magnets
- Work with demand generation to build scalable processes and programs to support and measure the content marketing program, optimizing for engagement and conversion
- Build and lead a high-performing team to support company and marketing goals through mentoring, coaching, recruiting, and performance management
- Manage relationships with agencies and suppliers that are productive and impactful
- Execute innovative brand marketing and PR campaigns, including consumer initiatives, partnerships, sponsorships, endorsements, events, and brand activations.
- Lead all media relations and corporate communications with an eye towards developing long term, authentic media relationships that deepen Lionbridge's connections with the press and consumers.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships and influencer programs to enhance brand awareness and increase sales.
- Provide subject matter expertise, content and input to executive leadership.

Qualifications: - BA from an accredited university. Masters or MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 20 years previous experience in brand, content and digital marketing with a minimum of 15 years leading a team of Marketing professionals
- Has led a digital brand (vs agency only experience)
- Experience in working with a diverse set of stakeholders
- Deep, proven digital experience. Demonstrated success in a similar role in another company
- Expertise in developing and distributing content
- Strong understanding of and respect for the role of social media and the uses for different platforms
- Strong understanding of the creative process. Proven experience translating strategic goals into creative solutions
- Experience with working in a cross functional/regional matrix type of marketing organization and international markets
- Extensive experience in planning, implementing and evaluating digital brand engagement initiatives deployed using social technologies and platforms.
- Understanding of innovative approaches to reaching diverse stakeholders
- Comprehensive experience creating and managing a content ecosystem including internal teams, agencies, technology and measurement
- Strong experience producing multimedia content (web, video, audio)
- Exceptional writing skills and editing skills are required in a multitude of communication mediums
- Proven ability to use data to optimize campaign performance and inform future strategies
- Inherent self-sufficiency, flexibility and confidence with a preference for autonomy
- A commitment to accountability and execution that drives excellence and high employee commitment/engagement
- Excellent interpersonal, management, and networking skills at all levels of an organization with ability to influence, inform, and negotiate; able to build confidence and trust in leading the entire marketing and communications mission
- International experience preferred
- Design thinking experience a plus
