Details: Vice President of Business Development job in Fredericksburg, VA is currently available through Belcan with one of our top SIGINT clients. In this direct hire position, you will be responsible for working with all account manages, program managers, and any others acting in a sales and business development capacity to achieve the company's defined sales objectives. To qualify for this position, you will be an active member of an executive sales management team over domestic government and international programs.
Essential Job Functions: - Create, Own, Execute, and Continually Enhance the company's Strategic Marketing Plan
o Generate a plan and get it approved by Senior Management and Stakeholders with clear
objectives, and measurable results.
o Work with, support, and enable the product managers responsible for our SIGINT,
Cellular Survey, RF Recording and Playback, and other products to maximize the
company's return on invested capital and customer satisfaction.
o Monitor the progress against plan, and adapt as needed, to make sure the overall
corporate objectives are being achieved.
o Be able to construct a TAM/SAM/SOM analysis of clients markets, identify opportunities,
and implement projects/programs to accomplish capturing targeted opportunities.
o Perform detailed analysis including SWOT, GAP, and other known techniques to position
products or services to maximize success in all of the markets client is pursuing.
o Build (as expansion and business justification allows) and manage a Strategic Sales and
Marketing team to perform these roles.
o Construct metrics to monitor success, and report on those results to the President and
other staff.
- Experienced and effective at dealing in all levels of the Government Acquisition processes, including working with Purchasers, Contract Officers, Contract Officer Representatives, Branch/Group leaders and managers.
o Comfort with clients technologies at a Technical Sales level. These are best summarized as Radio
Frequency Test Equipment, specifically but not limited to Cellular Systems.
He or she should be conversationally fluent in speaking about radios, recorders, and software systems.
Comfort and experience with Software Defined Radios is preferred.
o Ability to oversee and participate/own the generation of New Product and New Initiative
o Business Plans from the sales and marketing point of view.
o Strong Management Background in Leading Sales and Marketing teams using metric driven
management.
o Represent the Strategic Sales and Marketing Groups within the company to assure that customer's needs and marketing and sales business objectives are being met throughout the whole organization.
o Ability to Support the Development of Effective Company Marketing communications plans and
materials.
Basic Qualifications: - Demonstrated understanding of the company's primary customer base - namely SIGINT and COMINT groups within Special Forces, Intelligence, and Military both domestic and foreign.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
- Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations.
- Experience in planning marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, and successful public
relations efforts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record in motivating teams to produce quality results within tight timeframes.
- Able to manage numerous simultaneous actives both individually and through a team.
- Proven and Established track record of running Business Development and managing teams of
sales and marketing staff.
- Bachelor's degree is required, or demonstrated significant industry experience.
- Bachelor's in Technical Discipline Preferred
- Master's Degree in Business, Sales Areas, or Marketing Areas strongly preferred.
- Active US Government Security Clearance at Secret Level, and Ability to obtain a US government
security clearance(s) at higher levels.
