JOB SUMMARY: The Avera Service Line Clinical Vice President plays a key leadership role in Service Line operations across Avera. Under the direction of Avera senior leadership, the Clinical Vice President is responsible for establishing best practice standards, quality goals, and transparent communication within their respective Service Line. The Clinical Vice President, along with their dyad partner, will work with both clinical and business intelligence to identify opportunities for improved patient care at the lowest possible cost. This position also has responsibility to work with Avera Information Technology teams to develop and monitor electronic order sets and documentation templates that support the best practice standards and quality goals of the Service Line. Additionally, the Clinical Vice President will monitor group and individual performance metrics established by their Service Line and employ just culture principles to reach established goals.
REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Has a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with appropriate board certification and current medical license in one or more of the states served by the Service Line.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:
This position requires a valid driver's license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
This position requires a valid medical license and DEA number in one or more states served by the Service Line.
