U.S. Vision is currently seeking a Senior Vice President of Retail. This position is based at our headquarters in Glendora (Blackwood), New Jersey, very close to Philadelphia.
The SVP, Retail is responsible for strategic planning, management and execution of U.S. Visionetail optical business and brand partnerships for their assigned brands. The SVP, Retail will build and maintain a high performing team by hiring the best sales talent, defining goals that are aligned with the company's goals while clearly outlining key responsibilities and expectations. This position will partner with Merchandising, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Human Resources departments to ensure positive business outcomes.
The SVP, Retail will report directly to the CEO, directly manage multiple field based Regional Managers, and will interact regularly with the executive team (internally) and with the assigned host liaisons (externally).
Responsibilities - Manage P&L for assigned retail brands
Responsible for strategic planning and the successful implementation of all initiatives to the assigned retail stores
Regularly partner with product, marketing, finance, operations, and human resources to ensure product, service, and people are meeting and exceeding customer expectations
Oversee sales incentive programs with objectives aligned to corporate strategic initiatives
Responsible for the development of training to support US Vision products, services, operations, and culture
Responsible for the planning and execution of the US Vision Optical Group strategies
Participate in cross-functional task forces and projects in other areas of the business, as needed
Ensure that the sales teams meet established profit margins through coaching, mentoring, developing, directing, motivating and driving peak performance
Achieve sales and profit objectives through ongoing monitoring and achievement of key metrics by region, and reporting statistical performance levels
Qualifications BA/BS required, MBA a plus
Proven track record of success in retail management (10+ years), optical industry experience desirable but not necessary
Previous experience in strategy, channel execution, training and communications
Ability to drive talent initiatives that include a culture of selling
Proven ability to measure program effectiveness and recommend modifications as required
Must be agile to stay informed on policies and procedures, product offers, and industry knowledge in a rapidly changing environment
Demonstrated ability to manage and lead high performance teams of senior managers
Strong analytical skills, financial aptitude, and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time and to work effectively with other functions to ensure deadlines are met
Strong facilitation skills, oral and verbal communication
Experience successfully developing a team of field based senior managers, including performance management and providing constructive feedback
Computer skills should include use of Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel
Able to travel by airplane and by driving, including overnight trips, as required by business needs
