The Regulatory Affairs Manager/Director position will interface with many internal and external partners to maintain all regulatory and compliance needs in a complex and multi-state environment. You will partner with Legal Counsel consistently, while also working with our Bursar/Registrar on daily needs of the company in a prompt and thorough manner.
For this reason, we're looking for a candidate that operates at a highly organized and efficient level. This person should possess excellent written communication skills, the ability to multitask and the drive to seek mastery in their position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Performs clerical tasks related to departmental correspondence and document control (typing, filing, copying, scanning, etc).
- Maintain state licenses in collaboration and approval by Legal Counsel.
- Ensures that all regulatory affairs documentation is filed internally in the data room in a controlled an timely manner at request of Legal Counsel.
- Gathers necessary paperwork and documentation for regulatory filings and corporate compliance filings at the direction of Legal Counsel when State Law changes or when control program as defined by Legal Counsel requires documentation changes.
- Complete regulatory submission and corporate compliance forms and file the forms along with necessary accompanying documentation. File submission renewals or new course offerings as directed by Legal Counsel.
- Keep track of the progress of regulatory submissions and corporate compliance/governance submissions.
- Performs administrative tasks related to: general data entry, regulatory playbook and calendar updates, data entry/maintenance into Excel and/or other databases, which includes Salesforce.
- Performs administrative tasks related to any student or regulatory complaints or inquires from employees regarding legal/regulatory compliance. This includes taking notes in investigations, drafting notes for review by Legal Counsel, and coordinating logistics for interviews and schedules related to complaints.
- Coordinate announced site visits from regulators.
- Provides regulatory documentation to business partners within the organization as needed.
- Attend continuing education/compliance courses as often as necessary to keep current on changing policies and procedures in state law.
- Provides administrative support to Legal Counsel or other Executives as needed.
