Description: The Executive Director, Analytics and Insights, Primary Care, partners with in line and pipeline marketing, medical, sales and market access. This strategic leader frames, investigates and answers key business questions related to our products and the markets in which they compete, as well as our customers and competitors. Leading a team of professionals in Marketing Research (primary and secondary), CI and business analysis (ROI, targeting & segmentation, digital analytics and predictive modeling) the ED drives the implementation of novel and/or best in class research and analytic approaches to address complex multi-factorial business challenges and drive results for our strategic brands. The ED ensures that analyses are integrated and provide objective in-depth understanding of markets, product performance, customers and competitors. The ED drives thought leadership by managing analytic problem-solving in collaboration with commercial and medical teams, cross functional team members and vendors to address strategic questions, generate timely and actionable insights and recommendations, and secure management action through influential communication. The ED will also be a subject matter expert for one functional area within Insights and Analytics (for example, MR, CI, ROI etc.)

Duties & Responsibilities - Lead all aspects of market research and competitive intelligence, managing MR and CI professionals in support of assigned therapy areas. Ensure that MR and CI plans are in line with brand strategy and that planned research employs appropriate methodology and delivers actionable insights that address strategic business questions and provides brands with competitive advantage.
- Lead all aspects of business analysis, managing analytics professionals in support of assigned therapy areas. Identify decision support needs and existing gaps for internal customer decision makers, ensure integration of all appropriate data into analyses and provide holistic, clearly communicated deliverables that address business questions and drive business results.
- Lead A&I support for Pipeline Marketing in assigned therapy areas. Ensure that appropriate MR and CI methodologies are applied to provide deep analyses that:
- Enable rich understanding of likely future markets, customers (including patients and payers) and competitors
- Yield insights and recommendations to guide high-level decisions affecting product development and in-licensing opportunities that provide pipeline brands with competitive advantage.
- Oversee advanced analytics for product campaigns that span across all channels for assigned therapy areas. Support the brand teams in developing/optimizing promotion, developing campaign strategies, and transforming data into a story built on insights and actionable recommendations.
- Ensures that the team is staffed with qualified, highly motivated talent. Inspires ownership, accountability, initiative, and engagement within the entire team by regularly communicating BI's vision, business objectives, performance outcomes, and future action steps. Actively develops people within their organization, and supports learning opportunities and encourages others to own their careers and take full advantage of BI career development offerings. Drives performance management of all personnel including all disciplinary action to ensure personnel are meeting or exceeding expectations in their roles.
- Department Financial/Resource and Operational Objectives Alignment: Ensure that Department goals are aligned with HPBU Managementoals and priorities. Deploy Department resources accordingly and set annual objectives and budgets. Adapt deployment as needed in support of HPBU Managementvolving needs to ensure that financial and operational objectives are met, while ensuring that corporate standards of excellence, company policies, compliance and ethical business practices are upheld by members of the Department.
- Special Projects: Participate in Special projects at the direction of HPBU management.
- Ensures that corporate standards of excellence and compliance are upheld and performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations (e.g. EEO, FDA, OSHA, PDMA, EPA, PhRMA, SCIP etc.) and Company policies and procedures. Immediately reports noted/observed violations to management. Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards at all times in order to main BIPIxcellent reputation within the medical and pharmaceutical community.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required, Master's degree from an accredited institution preferred.
- Ten plus (10+) yearsperience in Pharma Industry with a working knowledge of drug development process, including activities from pre-clinical through marketing of a product, anatomy and physiology and principles of disease, rationale for treatment algorithms and business knowledge of Pharma companies and their business practices.
- More than six (6) years leadership and project management experience
- Lead people; deliver results, customer focus, team work & collaboration.
- Previous managerial and project management experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale cross-functional projects.
Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities:
- Highly analytical and expert in one of the following: Market Research, Competitive Intelligence, ROI, Modeling and other analytic support
