You will deliver a great deal of impact on the US Vaccine organization. As Marketing Director you will serve as the national consumer marketing leader impacting strategy and resourcing, implementation of brand strategy in the US and overall consumer tactical plan of in-line brands.
This role will report directly to the VP, Marketing and will work collaboratively with brand/franchise managers and customer segments to define and drive consumer strategy.
Responsible for leading Consumer Marketing team (4 people) for the Vaccines Portfolio
Ensure necessary and appropriate consistency in brand positioning by working closely brand managers
Defines the vision and long-term consumer goals for the brand
Prioritize and negotiate for resources across the organization to implement brand opportunities
Manage overall A&P budget for consumer initiatives
Lead integrated approach to manage external agencies

Why You?Basic qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years marketing or other relevant commercial experience (3+ years in healthcare marketing)
Consumer and/or Brand marketing experience, including demonstration of scientific knowledge and competitive knowledge within therapeutic areas and individual assets
Experience with managing A&P budget
Ability to travel 10%
Preferred qualifications: 8 years of pharmaceutical commercial experience
Vaccines experience
MBA
Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to effectively lead and influence across matrix teams
Proven ability to set strategy and identify key insights
Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving
Demonstrated leadership skills (either leading a team with direct reports, and/or significant enterprise/matrix leadership)
Proven business and financial acumen
Ability to generate multiple novel ideas, solutions and strategic options to deliver long-term benefits to customer and GSK
Proven ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
Experience defining and interpreting market research
Prioritizes well across short and long-term needs, recognizes trade-offs and make necessary adjustments
Ability to financially track performance and make appropriate data-driven decisions
Proven ability to continuously improve self and others
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
