Celilo Cancer Center is currently seeking a Medical Assistant to join their exceptional team in Medical Oncology.
This is a casual position with no guarantee of hours and will receive a 13% pay differential in lieu of benefits.
Responsibilities This Medical Assistant should have excellent clinical skills as well as a caring and compassionate approach to providing healthcare to cancer patients. The ability to follow the instruction of the providers and efficiently communicate information to the patients regarding their care is critical. MA certification is preferred with 1 year's experience in the medical field. Current CPR certification is required.
Qualifications 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a multi-specialty office preferred; ability to recognize and anticipate the needs of the patient and provider; adaptable and accepts change well; organized; exceptional ability to multitask; independent decision making skills; works as a team player at all levels; assists coworkers with duties when requested, to include, but not limited to floating to other areas, effective communication; ability to assist provider with small surgical procedures and wound care. Medical Assistant Certification is strongly preferred (or required within six months of hire) as is Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience preferred.
