Director, Supply Chain Transformation: Strategy and Analytics
We are seeking an experienced Transformational Supply Chain professional to lead the Supply Chain Strategy and Analytics team for the Consumer Products Group at our headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. This role will report to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and be the leader of a team that is responsible for developing and implementing supply chain strategies and optimization projects across the Georgia Pacific Consumer Products value stream (end to end supply chain) to achieve cost savings and cash flow improvements while delivering a superior customer experience and building a platform for growth in a digital market. The role will develop and manage the strategic direction on supply chain projects, lead customer facing initiatives and be the architect for designing the future supply chain for our multibillion-dollar consumer business. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to: developing new models for service (product availability, delivery performance and perfect order) within Ecommerce/OmniChannel, innovative solutions to support business growth, employing tools (i.e. automation), analytics enhancements and inventory strategies, and driving overall supply chain cost optimization.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
- Design and implement the Supply Chain strategic roadmap to compete in a digital market
- Develop and implement the future supply chain strategy
- Lead design and execution to drive optimization across the end to end supply chain network
- Develop supply chain strategies to enable go to market strategies for the OmniChannel customers
- Ensure key metric reporting is in place and lead reports in providing root cause analysis and continuous improvement solutions
- Develop cost, performance and service models to develop fact based solutions across the Consumer Products Group, including but not limited to: inventory, SKU velocity, transportation, reverse logistics, logistics network analysis (LNA) and business climate analysis.
- Identify and implement technologies to drive transformation and innovation within Supply Chain. Develop relationships in Industry groups to determine benchmarks and best practice methods
- Use segmentation, supported by activity-based cost-to-serve analytics, to align supply chain offerings with customer needs to increase both margin and customer service levels
- Identify, train and attract talent both internally and externally (i.e. developing leaders in Supply Chain Strategy and Analytics and Ecommerce/OmniChannel)
- Create project portfolio and manage third parties for strategic consulting
- Drive customer & vendor collaboration to develop business models to work optimally with customers and vendors by sharing information, aligning strategies and business policies, and aligning lead times, order multiples, and costs
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related discipline
- 10-15 Years progressive experience in Supply Chain Management with a proven background in complex projects
- Demonstrated experience with Ecommerce/Omnichannel, Automation, and Modeling
- Strong supply chain and business acumen
- Proven success in defining and implementing Supply Chain Strategy
- Successful talent development expertise
- Change Management champion/Supply Chain Transformation experience
- End to end Supply Chain experience with broad knowledge in multiple areas (i.e. Planning, Logistics, and Manufacturing)
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Engineering or Finance
- MBA in Supply Chain or Finance/ MA in Engineering or Science
- Track record of leading cross-functional complex projects and effective continuous improvement
- Previous experience in Consumer Goods
- Operational and Management consulting experience is advantageous
- Previous experience implementing SAP and other supply chain technology tools
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Certifications and Technical Requirements
- A strong affinity for Supply Chain technologies
- MS Office
- APICS certification is a plus
- Experience with network modeling software
