Functions/Duties of Position
The APP in Abdominal Organ Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Surgery is a full-time position whose duties include providing continuity of care for Liver, Kidney/Pancreas Transplant, and Hepatobiliary Surgery patients and supporting the mission, goals, and objectives of the University, the School of Medicine, and the Division. The position will be supervised primarily by the Chief of the Division and may include secondary supervision by other Attending Staff. This position requires some flexibility in work hours and work days.
Job Requirements Required Qualifications: - Master's Degree as required by specific Advanced Practice Provider role
- Clinical experience as an APP that demonstrates ability to fulfill responsibilities for the specific role
- Experience in general surgery practices
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to work as a team member
- Demonstrated ability to satisfy standards of performance delineated by law and associated professional practice standards, the latter set forth as an addendum to the position description
- Ability to manage heavy workload with multiple priorities and inflexible deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Proficient in the use of computing hardware and software, including personal computing equipment, electronic medical record, word processing and spreadsheet software
- Regular and consistent attendance at work
- Registration with the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners as a licensed Physician Assistant, or a Nurse Practitioner license from the Oregon Board of Nursing
- Drug Enforcement Association certification
- Able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
