Job Description Job Summary: The Associate Director, Medical Education is responsible for the direction and implementation of medical education programs and resources for the Americas, covering the Acute, Post-Acute, Surgical and Sports Medicine and Advanced Wound Dressing franchises.
Principle Responsibilities: (essential job duties and responsibilities)
- Implement medical education plan for the Americas
- Demonstrate knowledge of pre-clinical, clinical and economic data, techniques, and educational needs in post-acute and acute care settings
- Maintain current understanding of general trends in medicine and peer-to-peer education
- Continually advance program formats and content to best meet educational needs and provide t-in-classarning opportunities
- Help generate cross-functional alignment on projects
- Management and development of shared resources
- Oversee speakers bureau, annual speaker needs assessment and onboarding , training and development of speakers
- Hands-on development of key resources and reports, including core slide decks, templates, and speaker training materials
- Oversee support functions for local, regional and national events
- Develop and refine processes to ensure excellence in execution and maximize efficiency and consistency
- Drive process and system improvement initiatives and gain cross-functional support
- Build and maintain productive long-term relationships with key opinion leaders and faculty
- Establish relationships with internal business partners and exert influence in a matrix organization.
- Support OUS medical education activities as needed and collaborate with global partners
- Collaborate with Health Care Compliance (HCC), Regualtory and Legal on policy development and communication strategies. Ensure all medical education events adhere to guidelines.
- Lead, develop and coach medical education group, with a focus on teamwork, collaboration, and consistency
- Manage department budget and proactively partner with Finance

- Familiarity with Advamed guidelines and Sunshine Act reporting requirements. Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Minimum Qualifications: - At least 7 years experience in Medical Education, with significant in house (non-agency) experience
- At least 3 years leading a team
- Prior experience managing budgets
Preferred Qualifications: - At least 10 years experience in Medical Education, with significant in house (non-agency) experience
- At least 5 years experience leading a team
- Experience working in a matrix organization
- Prior experience managing budgets
Education: - Minimum Bacheloregree, preferably in a scientific or business field
