Job Purpose Director Finance
Position Purpose: We are seeking a highly-motivated, experienced and collaborative finance leader with a strong work ethic to join our Bank Solutions Finance team as a Finance Director. In this highly visible and dynamic position you will perform a series of critical functions including owning financial reporting, helping drive profitable business growth by effectively partnering with the leadership team and utilizing strong financial planning, reporting, analysis and modelling skills for effective business management. The position requires frequent interactions with leaders in the organization as well as maintaining a connection to the organizational pulse at all levels. Many assignments are non-recurring and highly diverse depending on roles and people involved, situations needing to be addressed, and gaps or voids requiring financial analysis.
Essential Job Responsibilities: Coordinate Bank Solutions financial and management reporting including aggregation of BU results, evaluation of risks and opportunities, analysis of variances and key metrics and providing insightful commentary for leadership review and action. Reporting includes:
- Monthly actual, forecasting and business reporting
- Annual Long Range Plan (LRP)
- Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
- Annual budget
- Frequent adhoc business reviews
Manage the planning and forecasting processes for the division in a manner that facilitates materially accurate revenue and expense projections, timely identification of risks and opportunities, well-reasoned target recommendations and clear collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.
Partner with business unit finance leaders and general managers to understand and support in-depth financial analyses, identifying key drivers, trends, variances, emerging risks and opportunities; regularly aggregate business unit data, analyzing and adjusting data where necessary, and communicating findings to senior management in succinct and meaningful reporting.
Support the Bank Solutions professional services SVP and/or other assigned Bank Solutions functional leaders by providing dashboard results reporting, resource planning, expense management, strategic revenue generation insight and general financial modeling.
Evaluate transactions and revenue performance to provide actionable insights, and identify opportunities to grow revenue and profit through data mining, analytics, and automation.
Monitor and control operating expenses to ensure alignment with budgets, including managing financial performance risk and helping the business adapt to new conditions and scenarios by defining and maintaining contingency plans and options. Aggregate and report divisional expense savings highlighting opportunities and risks.
Establish collaborative working relationships with business unit leadership, sister division business and finance leadership, group finance and executive leadership, and other corporate Finance & Accounting functions.
Analyze variances and trends in sales, revenue, expense, general business conditions and other related areas. Identify key data points and trends that demonstrate the relationship between the operational, financial and performance goals
Required Qualifications: Education: Bacheloregree in Finance or Accounting required.
Job Related Experience:
8+ years of applicable finance/accounting experience.
Travel Required:
Travel as required, expected to average less than 25%
Preferred Qualifications: - MBA strongly preferred
- CPA strongly preferred
