Your role We are looking for someone with an understanding of the equity market as well as basic funding and interest rate concepts, valuation behaviour of traded products who has excellent interpersonal skills to engage with traders and interact with representatives from a wide range of functions within the bank. The person should have strong analytical skills, be able to show persistence in project work and prioritise their workload in a fast moving and dynamic environment and will be expected to show initiative.
The role requires close interaction with many stakeholders in various locations globally, such as Trading, Business Management, Credit Risk Control, Product Control, IT, and others.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for the following:
- Analysis of risk profile and daily reported P&L to make transparent portfolio concentrations and risks
- Provision of timely risk and market development comments to management
- Understand and help to enhance risk representation and standards
- Assess individual transactions and new strategies/products against risk appetite, as well as ensuring the risk is adequately captured
- Participate in projects to further enhance the collateral risk control framework and in approval of new products/strategies.

Your team You will help to control market risks on Equity Global Financing Service portfolio and will be responsible for closely monitoring the portfolio risk of the trading businesses to ensure that risk exposure concentrations are identified and understood, that the risk profile is in line with the firms risk appetite, and that non-standard risks and risk representation issues are adequately addressed. You will be able to apply your knowledge of financial products and markets to the identification, analysis, reporting and control of risks.
Your experience and skills You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business / Economics / Finance / Mathematics
- Previous experience in a market risk control role supporting Equities
- Knowledge of market risk control tools / tasks / methods is preferable
- Basic accounting knowledge considered a plus.
