A day in the lifeclass="new_p">

We are looking for a highly-motivated Director, responsible for supporting a portfolio of Risk services, including: Enterprise Business Resilience, Risk Technology and Analytics and Corporate Administration.

• Directly support managers of Business Resilience, Administration, and department technology, EDI and analytics
• Support multiple program teams, including business resilience (Nordstrom emergency, crisis and business continuity programs), corporate department administrative support (general office, claims and litigation, billing and payments, enterprise-wide service of process), and department technology support (business owner of Risk Management Information System; Risk analytics; Electronic Data Interchange programs; general department technical support)
• Support emergencies and crises at the enterprise level, with a focus on prevention; includes acting as crisis incident coordinator for Site Mgrs and other crisis SMEli>
• Create and communicate product / program strategy and roadmaps, including prioritization efforts and milestone reviews to align with larger needs of the business
• Lead the efforts in developing the business case(s) for future strategies and investments and reporting progress on approved investments
• Directly manage large and medium sized projects including support of the Risk-wide project portfolio and project management tools
• Ensure change readiness including development and delivery of training to Risk and external stakeholders
• Identify potential impediments to achieving the portfolio objectives and develop a risk mitigation plan
• Manage and communicate information about portfolio status and changes in strategy, roadmap, priorities, budgets, risks and resource allocation to the project team and leadership
• Directly support Risk leadership with internal and external messaging and communication platforms
• Supervise, develop and mentor team members in business skills, requirement definition, task management, leadership skills and project/program management
• Maintain continuous contact and deepen understanding of the business drivers of Risk Management and our business partners
• Champion accuracy and protect confidentiality of information being processed, stored or accessed
• Drive continuous improvement across all areas of responsibility
• Proactively identify and resolve issues across all areas of responsibility

Qualifications You own this if you haveclass="title_p">

• 7+yrs experience in business resilience/business continuity and disaster recovery
• 5+ years leading teams in delivery of cross-functional services
• 5+ years of direct supervision of employees
• 10+ years of project / program management experience with increasing levels of responsibility as well as demonstrated successful delivery of medium and large-scope initiatives, as well as the ability to manage multiple and diverse projects
• Strong analytical skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and proven written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to influence team as well as internal and external stakeholders with strong advocacy and empathy skills and without authority
• Ability to explain complex processes and concepts to an audience of non-experts
• Ability to support department strategy whilst simultaneously providing data-driven and context-aware recommendations to leadership
• Experience with SAP Business Objects and DXC Riskmaster Accelerator strongly desired
• Fluent in the Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel, PowerPoint and Word

• Business or operations experience in a retail or related industry
