Nature and scope
The Sales Director provides hands on sales expertise for the appointed Affinity communities. They will work with the Executive Director in the everyday process of utilizing the Matrix database system and to help keep the system updated at all times. They are responsible for meeting or exceeding occupancy and revenue goals through professional relationships and ongoing education to services and community outreach opportunities. This includes facilitating the move in process as well as community outreach opportunities. Build and maintain relationships with local organizations associated with Senior Living, Chamber of Commerce and other networking opportunities.
This position will accommodate both Taylorsville House and Springs of Catawba.
Minimum eligibility requirements
Bacheloregree in Business Administration, major in Marketing preferred.
Assist in developing and managing a 90 day Sales and Marketing Plan, SWOT analysis, and competitive analysis that will be updated quarterly.
Assignments can include new acquisitions, census priority communities, turnarounds and focus communities
Must have 3-5 years of sales experience; 1-3 in healthcare related sales; senior housing sales experience preferred.
Must have proven direct sales experience with demonstrated results.
Must possess knowledge of the Rules and Regulations for the Community and applicable move-in and move-out regulations.
Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, discharge planners, hospitals and general public.
Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.
Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
Practice and promote Affinity Policies and Procedures, Mission Statement, Core Values and Founding Principles.
Must demonstrate the ability to serve as a positive role model and spokesperson.
Possess excellent organizational skills including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while establishing appropriate priorities.

Essential functions Marketing
Give a positive and informative first impression to all prospective residents and their families.
Write appropriate letters and notes required as follow-up to inquiries.
Maintain and utilize a system for follow-up with network sources.
Organize and facilitate all move-in activities while working collaboratively with the Resident Care Manager to coordinate smooth and timely resident move-ins. These duties including but are not limited to the tracking of inquiries, conducting initial tours, facilitating move-ins, managing the assessments within 24 hours or less when indicated, and working with the Resident Care Manager to coordinate move in process, etc.
Conduct out of community resident assessments as needed.
Lead a weekly sales meeting and as needed with the Executive Director and Resident Care Manager to discuss census, Residents at risk, marketing strategies, and follow-up with referral sources.
Utilize Matrix software system to maintain accurate and timely detailed move-in move-out information and any demographic information needed for evaluation of procedures in place.
Utilize a Matrix software system to track and maintain waiting list and future interest list as well as track and organize vacancies ensuring a quick and efficient move in process
Serve as a representative of the Company in the community including participation in local organizations such as the Alzheimerssociation, provider and hospital networks, etc.
Conduct individual and group tours of the Community as requested.
Plan and facilitate a support group with regular meetings for family and friends of persons with Alzheimerisease or other dementiaith invitations to the general public as well as current resident families.
Prepare and submit for approval, a monthly marketing plan with measurable goals and budget requirements.
Coordinate open house and at least two marketing events per month.
Serve as the ignee the Executive Director when requested to do so.
Be able to understand a varied program of meaningful activities and events that is balanced in the physical, spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, vocational and cognitive elements.
Any other duties assigned by the Executive Director.
Joint decisions and duties between the Sales Director and Executive Director:
Assist the Executive Director in the development of materials (i.e., brochures, press releases and advertisements) that describe the Communityervices.

Responsible for ensuring that all employees are providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

Take initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority.
Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner (Visitors include anyone who visits the community; specifically, current residentsmilies and friends, prospective residents and their families, referral sources, vendors and regulators).
Answer phones appropriately, according to company and community standards.
Communicate professionally and cooperate with supervisor and all community personnel.
Monitor and evaluate customer satisfaction. Share the results with the Executive Director and staff. Work as a part of the team to develop appropriate action plans to continually improve satisfaction levels.
