Summary: The purpose of your job position is to assist the Director of Nursing in the overall planning, organization, and development of the Nursing Department for the facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Assists the Director of Nursing in directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing activities in accordance with current state, federal, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Previously supervisory experience preferred.

ADON RESPONSIBILITIES
LEADER FOR CARE PLAN MEETINGS; SCHEDULES, COORDINATES AND CONDUCTS THE CARE PLAN MEETINGS AND FOLLOWS-UP AS NECESSARY ON ANY CONCERNS DURING THE MEETINGS.
FALL FOLLOW-UP; COLLECT THE FALL FORMS, COMPLETE THE FALL REVIEW FOR EACH FALL AND SHARE WITH STAFF AND HAVE THEM SIGN THE FORMS. THESE ARE THEN ATT ACHED TO THE FALL FORMS. COMPLETE THE FALL AUDIT TOOL. ASSURE EACH FALL INTERVENTION IS ON THE CARE PLAN AND ON THE FALL INTERVENTION SHEETS.
HOSPICE CALLS EVERY OTHER WEEK.
HELP WITH ASSESSING RESIDENTS TO BE ADMITTED TO THE FACILITY.
GATHER INFORMATION FOR THE PURT MEETING WHICH IS HELD EVERY OTHER THURSDAY. FOLLOW-UP OF DIETITIAN RECOMMENDATIONS.
ATTEND MONTHLY QUALITY ASSURANCE MEETING.
ASSIST WITH IN-SERVICING AND STAFF EDUCATION.
ASSIST WITH STAFF ISSUES AND CONCERNS.
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
