Job Title Director of Entertainment Operations- Universal Studios Hollywood

Responsibilities Summary: - Provide the overall leadership and control of all operational functions within the department as guided by the Vice-President. Responsible for supervision of direct report positions and day-to-day operations, as well as some involvement in long term planning of operational processes and functions, budgets and other projects as assigned. Interface with Entertainment Production, other Park departments and contract vendors on entertainment elements, projects and/or other issues related to Entertainment. Provide leadership and direction to the department to ensure guest entertainment value/satisfaction and employee satisfaction/performance are in compliance with goals established by Vice President and Company.
Essential Responsibilities: - Responsible for strategically planning and directing an Entertainment Program resulting in a seamless and exemplary guest experience. Primarily focused on deployment and operations, but sometimes including generating concepts, designs and/or scripts for new product/venues/events.
- Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to entertainment staff. Provide direction to staff in career development, performance management and results.
- Develop operating budgets and monitor/adjust program as necessary to manage costs and meet or exceed Financial targets.
- Work in conjunction with the Vice President of Entertainment in developing, implementing and operating the strategic plan for the enhancement and improvement of all entertainment venues, elements and events within the assigned park, including all staffing and budgetary requirements within the assigned Business Unit.
- Provide operational input, leadership and oversight of marquee events, including but not limited to Halloween Horror Nights and Grinchmas.
- Monitor and ensure that all venues/elements meet or exceed all show quality standards including but not limited to specific Guest Satisfaction (GSAT) targets as well as performer/show note requirements and standards
- Responsible for overall department TeamMember Satisfaction (TSAT) which includes action planning and execution of TSAT initiatives to meet or exceed TSAT goals and targets.
- Oversee departmental safety program and plans to meet or exceed EHS goals and targets.
- Responsible for effectively communicating necessary information which pertains to the entertainment operation of the park to necessary parties outside the Entertainment Department as well as upper management and employees within the Entertainment Department.
- Responsible to practice the core company values, and ensure that the staff does the same.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
