ResponsibilitiesPharmaceutical Services at UCLA Health is one of the nation's top-ranked pharmacy departments. By broadening the field into patient care delivery, we are also defining the future of the hospital pharmacy. The extraordinary range of programs and services we provide means more professional options for Pharmacists. We also offer an ASHP-accredited residency program that provides training in medicine, critical care, surgery, ambulatory care and administration. Under the general supervision of the new Chief Pharmacy Officer, the Director of Pharmaceutical Services at UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica shall be responsible for the day to day operations SM-UCLA Department of Pharmaceutical Services. Functions shall include overseeing departmental operations, designing and implementing clinical and drug distributive services, human resource activities [training and evaluating new employees] as well as fiscal and quality management processes. The Director shall ensure that the Department reflects the mission, vision and values of the Health System, and that the Department is in compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all regulatory and accreditation standards.
QualificationsASHP-accredited residency, highly desired
Graduate from an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy program
Experience working at an academic medical center as a director, required
CA Pharmacy license, required
Knowledge of and ability to perform age specific and disease specific pharmacokinetic calculations.
Proven track record in managing financial operations, personnel, quality function, information technology and other professional aspects of current hospital practice.
