Job Description: The Associate Director (AD) is viewed as a key resource in relevant industry technologies and areas in support of Gartnerublic Safety and Justice (PSJ) Practice. The AD will have knowledge of key PSJ scenarios such as Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) and technologies such as CAD/RMS, 911, NG911, Courts and Corrections Case Management Systems and understand operational, technical and needs of PSJ organizations. The Associate Director is expected to support medium to large sized project teams and lead small to medium sized engagements and/or work streams, and is considered to be proficient in and able to deliver one or more consulting service offerings (e.g., IT strategy, PSJ solutions, sourcing, and project management).
- Integrated Justice / Justice IT Subject Matter Expert/Project Manager - Consulting;
- Support complex project teams and leads project/engagement planning for PSJ engagements
- Qualifies and supports opportunity scope development
- Identifies opportunities for new business and supports sales pursuits
- Supports the development of proposals, identifies optimal client solutions and communicates the Gartner value proposition
- Support project team management by developing work plans and managing project execution timelines and budgets
- Defines tasks and independently manages completion of tasks
- Supports development of all deliverables; drives development process in collaboration with broader project teams
- Supports and actively drives expertise/insight into the delivery of solutions
- Identifies project issues performing root cause analysis and developing recommendations that meet client needs
- Develops verbal and written project communications in formal and informal settings to senior audiences
- Develops and manages effective internal and client communication
- Monitors risk mitigation activities to ensure risks are satisfactorily addressed
- Identifies project team and client/delivery problems; develops and manages solutions.
- Manages contacts with client project leaders; plans and facilitates project meetings.
- Ensures client receives status updates and that identified problems are solved
- Monitors clientspectations and manages revisions to project deliverables
- Extends effective client relationships within an engagement leading to repeat business opportunities
- Provides input to account plans and is actively involved in the development of client account strategies
- Supports consultants with advanced knowledge in one or more domains siness, process, technology
- Remains current on Public Safety and Justice and relevant technologies/trends
- Demonstrates deep knowledge and interest in Public Sector at the state and local level
- Transfers knowledge regarding a client vertical.
- Transfers the understanding of a clientbusiness,itical success factors and the business environment in which it operates
- Leverages a deep understanding of clienterspectives to support successful engagements
- Anticipates and addresses customer service requirements
- Develops alternative approaches to address complex client requirements and supports development of discussion proposals

Qualifications Requirements: - 6+ yearsperience in Management Consulting and/or Advisory related engagements, ideally with a top-tier firm and focused on Public Safety and Justice (Integrated Justice, Courts, Corrections Police, Fire, 911)
- Experience with systems integration of Public Safety and Justice technology (i.e. CAD/RMS, 911 systems, JMS, Case Management, data sharing platforms, etc.)
- Demonstrated understanding of, and experience in Public Safety and Justice systems (Police, Fire, 911, Integrated Justice)
- Knowledge of and demonstrated experience with public sector planning, procurement and project management processes.
- Extremely strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be comfortable working with large amounts of sensitive client data sets
- Proven background in MS Office Suite ecifically and importantly expert knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and lead small to medium sized project teams and/or work streams with limited oversight from manager
- Ability to apply institutional intellectual property and research and adapt to client specific circumstances.
- Travel to client sites required (on average 50% travel is required)
