Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
Status: Full-time, salary with comprehensive benefits package
Position Summary: This position is responsible for identifying, planning, developing, organizing, administering and evaluating Human Resource strategies for the organization. The primary focus is to foster an employee culture of excellence, empowerment, innovation and continuous improvement.
Primary Responsibilities: - Identify and implement Human Resource activities that add value or reduce cost; align Human Resource Team goals with the company's overall business strategy to expand market share, improve efficiency and increase profitability.
- Inform and make recommendations to executive management in support of organizational strategies and business goals
- Establish and fulfill HR standards of excellence, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and employee relations.
- Manage Human Resource Team to efficiently provide high levels of service; recruit, select, orient, train, coach, and mentor HR staff; plan, monitor, appraise, and review team member contributions; maintain compensation; assess, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; resolve issues; implement change.
- Guide management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicate and uphold organization values; facilitate positive employee relations and communication between management and staff.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipate legislation; uphold adherence to requirements; advise management on needed actions.
- Work directly with all supervisors to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on human resource matters; work with management in the review, preparation and administration of performance reviews and counseling, compensation and incentive programs, and implementation of company policy.
- Prepare and present key performance metrics to executive management and ownership principals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements: Education/Training/Experience:
- A bachelor's degree and five (5) + years of Human Resources experience, OR
- A master' degree in Human Resources Management and three (3) years of experience in the HR field, OR
- Seven (7) years of experience in the HR field, OR
- Any similar combination of education and experience
- PHR certification required, SPHR certification preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Sound working knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resource administration

- Demonstrated success in managing people; setting and communicating goals and expectations, measuring accomplishments, holding staff members accountable, delegating responsibility, keeping staff members informed, coaching, mentoring, reinforcing positive behavior and managing conflict
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
- Demonstrated consistency and dependability in attendance, quantity and quality of work
Physical Demands and Working conditions:
This position works in a traditional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; bend; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
This position requires regular oral/written interaction with clients, team members and the management team. Regular travel within the United States may be required.
